Ben Davy is visiting professor at the Faculty of Law (University of Johannesburg) and the Faculty of Architecture and Spatial Planning (TU Wien). He was professor of land policy, land management, and municipal geoinformation at the School of Spatial Planning (TU Dortmund University). He was president of the International Academic Association on Planning, Law, and Property Rights (PLPR) and the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP). He is member of the editorial board of Planning Theory and Practice and of the Journal of the American Planning Association. Currently, his research interests include the South African land reforms and land use ethics.
