International Competition – Second Prize Announcement

The project was collaboratively designed by RWTH Transforming City Regions master students H.Eda Akbas and Sevval Bayir as part of the Integrated Project II module in the Summer Semester 2025, guided by Prof. Dr. Frank Lohrberg and M.Sc. Nathalie Pszola.

AgriStitch reimagines Cologne’s fragmented urban edges by integrating agricultural, ecological, and water systems. By using time as a design tool, the project hybridizes blue-green infrastructure with productive landscapes, creating a flexible model of urban resilience. This strategy strengthens local food systems and biodiversity while developing a sustainable and scalable framework for urban–rural interfaces.
