ENHANCE Summer School 2026 – Synergic Urban Systems l Building XXI Century Town for the Uncertain Future
Students from the Master programmes in Architecture, Urban Planning, and Transforming City Regions are invited to participate in the ENHANCE Summer School 2026, organised by seven technical universities within the ENHANCE alliance (Aachen, Berlin, Milano, Trondheim, Valencia, Warsaw, and Zürich).
The summer school will focus on developing conceptual ideas for transforming the village of Teresin into a 21st-century town within the airport ecosystem of the new Solidarity Transportation Hub near Warsaw. The project addresses the challenges of rapid urbanisation and explores how future development can respond to uncertainty while preserving local cultural and natural assets.
The programme consists of a three-week online phase followed by a one-week intensive onsite workshop in Warsaw and Teresin. Participants will work in international teams together with academic staff from the partner universities, engaging in lectures, workshops, consultations, and design critiques.
